This hospital was inaugurated in 1942 in commemoration of Sir CP Ramaswami Iyer’s 60th birthday. Prior to that it was a hospital maintained by the European Sisters. At that time, this hospital was the only centre for maternity- related needs in Alappuzha and nearby districts. From such humble beginnings the institution now offers state of the art facilities like modular operation theatres, paediatric ICU, SNCU.
