I am writing this with immense disappointment and frustration regarding the treatment my sister-in-law received during the delivery of her baby at your hospital. Throughout her pregnancy, we were repeatedly assured by the attending doctor that she was in perfect health and could expect a normal delivery. However, the events that transpired on the day of her due date were shocking and unacceptable. Despite the fact that half of the baby’s head was already visible during labor, the hospital staff did nothing to assist with the delivery. Instead, they allowed both the mother and baby to endure unnecessary pain and stress. To our disbelief, we were given an ultimatum: either consent to an immediate Caesarean section or risk the health and safety of both mother and child by waiting for a normal delivery. This situation raises serious questions. If the baby’s head was already visible, why was nothing done to assist with a normal delivery? It is clear that she was fully capable of delivering the baby naturally, yet the staff chose to push for a surgical option instead. This suggests that the decision was driven by profit rather than concern for the well-being of the mother and child. It is deeply disappointing to see a hospital, especially one run by and for the tribal community, engaging in such profit-driven practices at the expense of patients’ health. This behaviour is not only unethical but also endangers lives. The public deserves to know about these unfair practices, and I hope this message reaches the hospital administration. If necessary, I am prepared to take legal action to ensure that such incidents are not repeated in the future. I urge everyone to be vigilant and raise their voices against such unethical business practices. The health and safety of our loved ones should never be compromised for financial gain.
