MATRIA HOSPITAL

This is gonna be a big one!! This is happened six years back. Why would i tell that now?? Cuz now we got our second and last child from one of the best hospitals in kozhikode. Why the last child?? Let me tell you the whole story so that you can understand. My wife was admitted there for normal delivery and all they have done for it was , they asked her to lay down on a steel table covered with some normal bed sheet. She was struggling with pain but the setup they gave was not helping her to push the baby out. Whenever she tries to push , she just moves around like skating on ice!! And the doctor came, without any scanning she told us that the cord might be stuck around the child's neck. Any how they suggested us for CS, which ok for us( I don’t mean CS is a bad choice). Then everything went ok and we got our first child! Now after six years we got our second child. It was CS too as we opted that! When the doctors were doing it, her uterus and bladder was stuck like glued as a result of clear unprofessional and not moral procedure. I don't wanna tell the doctor’s name here as it doesn’t matter. If they do care about the reviews the see other reviews!! They don’t care! And if they recall another incident with my sister that they gave her an IV fluid which was already expired 2 years before that!! We complained and we posted our review too. We even complained to WHO and they pleaded us to recall it. We did it. Why am I complaining now?? Because if we are planning for another child, that’s going to be life threatening for my wife!! My other sister who was having CS from there was taken to the hospital nearby as she was having trouble breathing!! This hospital is just for delivery on your own risk!! Anyway i am gonna see what i can do so that no one else have these kind of issues!

Had my third caesarian section at Matria. My doctor Dr Gopika was very compassionate and supportive. I was so anxious and was a high risk pregnancy, but everything went well. I am so satisfied. All the staff including the nursing staff, OT staff everyone was so supportive. Thank you Matria and Special thanks for my Dr Gopika for making my third delivery so cozy and memorable...

The worst experience ever to be expected from a hospital, which includes zero ethical values and worst staff behaviour. I'm writing this review on the basis of my second worst experience, l was a patient of matria hospital calicut, my consulting doctor was Dr.Gopika, a doctor with good reputation. Firstly, I got pregnant on January, l was taking all medicines prescribed by doctor including injections on weekly basis,also took almost 1 month sick leave as per doctor advise. Unexpectedly, on a Sunday Evening (09/02/2025) I had severe pain and bleeding. we were in a panic situation so without any second thought we rushed to matria in our car,we reached hospital around 5:30 pm. I was moved to the labor room and seen by the duty doctor, who advised a scan. However, we were told that the regular radiologist wasn't available. After about 30 minutes, they arranged another doctor but asked us to pay an extra Rs. 3000 for the scan. We agreed, assuming it would only take 10-15 minutes. But the wait stretched to almost 2 hours. even though we were getting frustrated by their careless behaviour and greediness. We payed the amount without a second thought, because I was in Severe pain. After further evaluation duty doctor advised me to get admitted but we chose to seek further treatment from another hospital due to the lack of timely care and facilities for an emergency management. When we were leaving we asked for the full scan report,and the main reception staff told us to collect it the next day morning. Since it was such a situation we insisted to have it then and there itself,but the behaviour from their side was disrespectful,impolite and rude. Any how we were so disappointed by their behaviour still didn't reacted because I was in good terms with the doctor, in few days abortion happened which I still feels as a worst day in my life, moving on even though my husband was against my plan of consulting the same doctor again i convinced him to visit the hospital again (16/04/2025), even though my appointment was at 7:00 pm I had to wait there till 9 pm to consult the doctor and she advised me to review the next day in OPD with investigation reports.(as per my request doctor agreed with the consultation tme 7:30 pm on (17/04/2025). When I called hospital at 7:15 while on my way to hospital the lady who attended the call said that "I think gopika mam is not at hospital let me check and call you back", since there was no response I called back after 10 min they answered that doctor is not available at that time. Moreover, in the background I clearly heard another lady murmuring that" the patient is some one who was the troublemaker",which was very unprofessional behaviour.when I questioned that ,they told me it was regarding another patient.wether it was regarding me or any other person it exposed their real attitude towards the costumers.I have the proof of above mentioned incident in case if needed for further actions.
