The interaction with Doctor Tanuja was good—she listens patiently and guides well. However, the whole setup and the admin staff are not at all good. Firstly, when I booked an appointment for the first time, I reached the hospital at the time allotted and was told there was a 45-minute wait. They said that is their usual waiting time—when I asked why they did not inform me when making the appointment, they did not have an answer. Secondly, when I went for a follow-up a few months later, I got the appointment for 1:45 today. Given the bad weather today, I called at 1:30 to confirm if the doctor was available; they said yes, but did not care to mention that there was a delay of more than an hour, as there was already a backlog of more than 4 appointments. I waited for their 'usual' 45-minute waiting time to get over and even then there were 4 patients before me who were yet to be attended. They called me a day before to tell me to get cash as other forms of payments were not working but they dont care to inform patients of such delays even when the patient is calling to confirm the appointment. Also, when they asked me for reports of certain tests, I told them I have soft copies, I can email them to you. They wanted me to go out and get print outs in the heavy rain- who needs hard copies in this day and age? The doctor has an apple laptop ion her desk- why would she need printouts? And if they do, there was a printer sitting right at the reception, why cant they just print the reports? Very unprofessional behaviour!

I visited OMA Hospital, Chembur for early pregnancy termination (~4–5 weeks) and was seen by Dr. Tanuja Uchil. I was prescribed 6 tablets of Mifepristone (200 mg each) over two days — which is 6 times the globally accepted dosage. Later, I was also given 4 Misoprostol tablets. This is not in line with WHO or FOGSI protocols, and I experienced excessive bleeding, followed by an unusually early drop in bleeding — raising concerns of incomplete abortion or complications. Despite the seriousness of the situation, there was no clarity, counseling, or proper follow-up. I am now seeking second opinion and filing a formal complaint. Please exercise caution and get a second opinion if you’re considering treatment here.

I have delivered both of my babies at OMA Hospital, with my first born in 2023 and my second in 2025. Both experiences were absolutely amazing, and I’m so grateful to Dr. Tanuja for her exceptional care. My first delivery was a normal one, and my second was a C-section. Honestly, I couldn’t be more satisfied with the treatment I received from Dr. Tanuja from day one. The hospital staff is highly experienced and always ready to guide and assist you with everything you need, providing the right support and training at every step. A heartfelt thank you to Dr. Tanuja for making this challenging yet beautiful journey so much easier and smoother. ❤️ Highly recommend! 🌟
