District Hospital, Palakkad

I had a really bad experience yesterday when I visited the government hospital in Palakkad regarding my father's kidney issues. His creatinine level is 17. First, I took an OP ticket to the casualty department, waited for 2 hours, and consulted the doctor. He told me that the condition is serious and recommended that I see Dr. Krishnadas in the nephrology department. When I visited Dr. Krishnadas, he behaved very cruelly. He said that only long-term patients receive treatment there and that they wouldn’t take any new cases. He told me to go to a private hospital for treatment. I explained our situation and financial difficulties several times, but he didn’t listen to me. In the end, he said, 'If you need your father, take him to a private hospital,' and then rudely added a remark 'Veetil kondu poi kedathitu vellam kodukku ennu.' I never expected such behavior from a government hospital. We have visited Palakkad hospital many times, and he repeats the same thing every time. I wonder how many patients suffer this kind of treatment.
