Government Medical College & Associated Hospital Rajouri

Government Medical College, Rajouri has been established vide Government of Jammu and Kashmir Order No. 675-HME of 2017 Dated:- 23.10.2017 with the aim to provide quality education and deliver the health care services to the people of Peer Panchal region. This institution is located 3kms from the District Headquarters, Rajouri, 153 kms towards north-west of state's winter capital i.e. Jammu and 180 kms via Mughal road from state’s summer capital i.e. Srinagar. Since, the main campus of GMC, Rajouri is under-construction, the first batch of MBBS course shall be started in the existing District Hospital Complex, Rajouri in 2019.

Good associated Hospital , Good infrastructure of college but guess what?? The teaching staff sucks awfully bad, the management especially the student section department isn't cooperative at all .....they are laziest breed of humans you will ever met in your life , sorry NEET students for bursting the baloon of your expectations, this college should be your last preference , stay away from this college as much as you can, it's a like a rattrap, my life has turned into hell ever since I joined this college..... It's heartbreaking as a OM student scoring tons of marks in NEET entrance get you into this pathetic college with even pathetic teaching staff.... One more point I would like to add is teaching staff is highly intolerable, I was just about to be restrigated just on a whatsaap text that I sent to a female teacher ..... She forwarded it to principal ..... And I was called to principal In less than a hour where I was forced to apologize to the teacher ( which I did ofc bcz I don't wanted my career destroyed on such silly thing) Thanks to social media where you can be anonymous otherwise if my name is revealed m screwed 💀 GMC-R accept the critisism there is always a scope for improvement you r not even in the top thousand GMC's in India, so no need flex we are number 1 when you are NOT Hope the future will see new GMC-R the improved, less toxic, more cooperative and free from corruption (Copied)

Recently i visited this hospital for my broken ankle. I remember visitng here around 5 years ago too. This time the management was completely different. It was a pleasant experience. I got my X-ray done within 10 minutes and plaster done in 15 minutes. The staff was cordial and well mannered . I believe the management is working pretty well to improve standards of service in Government Hospitals. Really commendable. Other Government hospitals may follow the league.
