Civil Hospital, Shillong

If it weren’t for the one nurse who took my concerns seriously, this review would have been a scathing condemnation. I came in for a follow-up rabies vaccination, only to be told they didn’t have the same vaccine brand and could give me a “similar” one from another company. Naturally, I asked a very basic and critical question: Is it safe to mix vaccine brands? To my disbelief, the nurses didn’t give a proper response. Instead, they mocked the question with smug remarks like “it’s up to you” or “ask the doctor,” followed by eye-rolling and snide laughter—behavior more suited to gossiping teenagers than licensed medical professionals. This was not only unprofessional but outright disgraceful. Let’s be clear: when a hospital staff is either too ignorant to answer a straightforward medical question or too arrogant to care, it raises serious questions about competence and patient safety. It’s deeply alarming that a healthcare facility, supposedly staffed with trained professionals, responded to a legitimate medical concern with ridicule and dismissal. I couldn't be more disgusted with the very people who are supposed to care. To the two nurses who laughed at me today in the emergency room: grow up. I hope this message stays ingrained in your minds as a reminder, so that no one else has to go through the same experience, especially those who conditions are more serious than mine.

Everything from the Staff to the doctors. The performance is just thoroughly here especially in OPD department. For poor patients with serious case. This is not a suitable hospital.

The hospital is partly clean partly very dirty It has a spacious surrounding Located by the NH ...behind it is the popular tourist destination in shillong..loved by tourists The Phan Nonglait Park....which adds the greenery and the freshness of the hospital...... The hospital is congested....the OPD and Emergency and scanning and x ray MHIS counter are all located near each other congesting and crowding the emergency area..... The toilets are horrible.....parking is satusfactory in the hospital.. It has the capacity to be developed very well and make it one of the best hospitals in Shillong...however it is a blessing for the financially weaker sections of the society...and alot can be done to improve the hospital and make it at par with Government hospital like NEIGRIHMS ...so that good and modern facilities in health services a is enjoyed by all... It has yoga therapy centres and also naturopathy centre...
