Myth buster first: Not just pregnant, even the non-pregnant females with gynecologic problems, males with infertility, other gynecologic issues are being treated at the hospital 🏥. The patient load is ever increasing while the increase in staff and PG residents lags behind always(reasons...many! You pronounced 'many' well😅😂) Yes, i know you are not yet able to park your car... hopefully you might soon! Wait for someone to leave/discharge! Hospital is well maintained, clean ...OPD side deals with all pregnant females, non-pregnant females with gynecologic problems, males with infertility and other gynecologic issues). Emergencies are being managed 24*7. Allied specialities like Radiology, Hematology etc are available 24*7. Theatres are operational 24*7 apart from Labor room where normal deliveries are managed. Post op ward is taken on priority ... continuous rounds,on going evaluation and management is something unique to this hospital. Newborn Station in L.D needs to be upgraded with required infrastructure as of ventilators, ICU care of newborn. In wards, prompt care and evaluation is ensured. Canteens, Nearby ATM, availability of medicines is satisfactory. Over worked staff try their best to ensure best patient care all through the 24 hours of a day, 7 days a week! Despite this the incidents of violence against such staff is really a failure on our part as a society! Security at the gates ensure no overcrowding so that patients sent for labs or for USG can do it without having to move through an unnecessary crowd, emergency patients being shifted to theatres can only be shifted quickly if there aren't relatives of patients who is occupying lifts just to ask pateint if they are well or not. We have to understand this as a society! Every measure is to ensure benefit to society as a whole rather than being selfish about your patient, fighting with security for all your attendants to be let in! Hospital needs to further expand its infrastructure and staff. There is a need to improve emergency infrastructure, equipment, response and care! The hospital is doing great work for ever increasing population and pateint load. Poor families who are referred during the night from far flung areas with no exposure to such tertiary care hospital feel lost and unable to quickly get files and other medications, lab reports within the hospital...makes it necessary for some sort of helpers to be involved to avoid adverse effects on patient outcome.
