IGMC Shimla

I visited here and it was a lifesaver at Indira Gandhi Medical College and Hospital in Shimla. On a Sunday afternoon, when my wife suddenly experienced chest pain due to acidity, this hospital was our only savior, as I couldn’t find any other proper emergency hospital open that day. The doctors were busy and there was a noticeable lack of coordination, but you can’t expect more because of the huge patient count they handle. Despite this, they conducted an ECG promptly, confirmed it was acidity, and treated her quickly with medication that relieved her discomfort within hours. Looks like Himachal Pradesh’s health infrastructure relies heavily on IGMC for emergencies, but the scarcity of 24/7 facilities, especially on weekends, leaves few options. We were happy with the swift treatment despite the challenges.
